As you may or may not be aware, I’ve recently posted about Stampin’ Up!’s Promotion for July - gorrrrgeous select TWO-Step Stamp Sets available for purchase at 20% off! You can check out which sets are available by clicking HERE
TWO-Step Stamping is such a fun way to build onto a stamped image as well as giving you the opportunity to choose ONE Stamp Set knowing that it is versatile, useful for multiple occasions with the added confidence of accuracy in your stamping using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. One of the sets available during this promotion is Loads Of Love. I was having a think about this Stamping Technique and thought with this stamp set, it might be fun to provide you with a ~
“Pictorial Tutorial”
For the perfect Two Step Stamping, I never leave home without my Stamp-a-ma-jig! This tool is simply fabulous for getting that exact image, whether it be layering a Two Step Stamp Set, lining up your sentiment supremely or even correcting a fluffed stamped image! By using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, imperfectly stamped images can be made perfect and I just looooove a tool that covers up my mistakes. Concealer for the crafter
To begin, I stamp my base image that I am then going to “layer” using other stamps (in this case from the same set)
To now TWO STEP STAMP……… Take the square clear plastic image sheet from your Stamp-a-ma-jig and place it right up against and in the corner of the hand tool (sorry a bit hard to see the image sheet but I promise it’s there!):
With your stamp of choice ~ I’m using the bunch of flowers from the same set (Loads of Love) ~ ink it up, place it in the corner of the hand tool and slide it down onto the image sheet:
You can see the bunch of flower’s image on the image sheet. Take this stamped image sheet and place it directly over your base image (the ute) on exactly the place you want the flower image stamped:
With your image lined up exactly where you want it to be stamped, hold your image sheet so it doesn’t move and place your hand tool back up against the image sheet – make sure it’s right in the corner of the hand tool:
Holding your hand tool still, remove your image sheet, ink the stamp you wish to layer, place it in the corner of the hand tool then slide it down onto your cardstock…..
….et voila!
Such an easy and helpful tool to take the fuss out of Two Step Stampin! Then when finished, so easy to clean! That’s the clincher isn’t it?!
I use my Stampin’ Mist™ and Stampin’ Scrub™ to get my image sheet clean and dry and ready to use for another session (you can see them on page 155 of Stampin’ Up!’s IB&C which you can download here)
I hope this has been helpful for you! To purchase any of these products or to take advantage of the 20% off promotion for July, you can place your order HERE and have it delivered to your door Australia wide.
Kind wishes,
Ju *hugs*

So firstly I would like to say a rather belated Happy New Year to you!! I hope you had the most lovely Christmas and New Years!
I am getting into the swing of a new year, a new decade, an airconditioner that works – finally!! (oh the saga! Lol!!) and a new direction and I must say that I am rather excited!! I really do look forward to sharing my journey with you. However!! Before I get stuck into my next chapter of that which is Ju, I felt I had a few loose ends to deal with and it just didn’t seem right to leave them, you, hanging!!
Wayeeeeeeeeeeee back in October, I attended a rather fun Stampin’ Up! Training Day where I had the absolute honour of presenting a “Workshop Wow” to all who were there. You can read more about this funny moment here
One of the fun aspects of training days are the swaps that you can make on the day with other fellow demonstrators from across the South Australia as well as some from across the borders. It was from these swaps that I was completely inspired, or should I say, Miss almost-5 (at the time) was completely inspired
and suddenly we had direction for her 5th birthday invitations!! I must say, I was rather relieved as up until this moment, Miss 5 was adamant it was to be a princess and a pirate party!!! Oh my brain hurt trying to think of an invitation that would cover such a diverse theme! So I would truly love to thank prefusely, Tamara Conroy for her amazing swap!
“I think just a princess party mum.” *mummy dances with joy on the inside*
So here is Tamara’s gorgeous creation,

Card by Tamara Conroy 2009
Isn’t it amazing? How clever is the use of the punches? It is so classy and sassy and it truly caught our attention. So, after a little play, this was what I came up with for my princess’ 5th birthday party………

For the dress I’ve used the Scallop Circle Punch and Large Oval Punch. I decorated the skirt with the Retro Mix Roller Wheel (Summer Mini Catalogue) first before punching out the ‘pleats’. To create the puffy sleaves I punched around a Scallop Circle using the end of the Large Oval Punch. Being a princess party, bling was completely necessary so dazzling diamonds was a must as well as a bit of bling on the glittery star wand.
The background of the card is stamped with a stamp from the Sprinkles stamp set using Versamark for a more watermark effect. For a more 3D look, rather than embossing with the heat gun, I used my Crystal Effects™ to leave a raised shiny look over the letters.
Verdict? Miss almost-5 was suitably impressed *mummy dances yet again for joy*

I am so excited as I have discovered craft in 3D!! Now not only will my husband question me if I ever buy another card again, but now!! He will also be raising his eyebrows if I ever buy a gift bag again! *yoiks!* Unless, of course, it is his widescreen plasma TV……….. that will need a very big gift bag!
Anywhos, like I mentioned in a previous post, my lovely friend Jules and I were invited to take part in a fundraiser/mini expo for the Gawler Soccer Club (*waves* hello again Sheryl!) Not only did we get to meet a lovely bunch of ladies all expo-ing their own wares and home businesses, Jules & I had the opportunity to display our own craft (some of which were for sale on the night) PLUS we were able to talk craft pretty much non-stop for the evening……every now and then sipping coffee from our Stampin’ Up! coffee mugs (of course!) *happy sigh*
Gawler may be growing, yes, but really it will always be a cute country town to me! It was so great to see that there are ladies/mums/grandmas….even grand-daughters in Gawler and the surrounds making business work for them!
Soooo, getting back to gift bags……known as “Box in a Bag”, these are the ones I created for that night. Credit needs to go to Diana Gibbs for this absolutely gorgeous idea!

I must admit that I am quite partial to ‘production line’ creations – making multiple of one project. And yep, a bit of retired product there too but I just don’t like to see gorgeous papers/stamps go to waste!
The other simply marrrrvelous fact in creating multiple at a time……you always have a cute little gift bag on hand……which was rather handy in the week following.
Quick digress…..my mother-in-law is the absolute best and has done SO SO SOOOO much for my little family and supports me SO MUCH in my stampin’ business that once the night was over, I packaged up a few things including a card kit that I had on display (which I had actually made with my ‘second’ mum in mind
) and I gave them to her as a massive thank you. Even Jules popped in one of her creations *hugs* I think mum liked her gifty
…….plus she had to as I sweetened the deal by putting a large quanitity of Fruchocs in a cellophane bag and then putting them in one of the bags, hahahahaha! Ah Fruchocs……another wonderful South Australian creation!!
Although I liked all the bags, here are a few of my favourite “Box in Bag” creations…..

The bag above was the one I used for mum.

This ‘bag’ also came in handy for my sister-in-laws birthday. It’s a great size for Twinings Tea Bags
These bags are fun and simple to do and so great for parties and gifts for any occasion you can think of!
