Some more Two Step Stamping for you……..
This is such a fun set, “All in the Family” – you’re guaranteed a perfect “photo” everytime, lol! Sadly this set is not part of the Two Step Stampin’ Promotion for July (see details and sets available HERE) but it’s still a fun Two Step Stampin’ set to use!
I created this set for our gorgeous theatre tutor, Simone *waves*. By the end of the term Simone had us up before an audience performing our little hearts out. It was absolutely FAAAAABULOUS and we all had a complete blast! So in true thespian style, the class presented Simone with a gorgeous bunch of flowers and this card signed by all. I thought it’d be kind of fun to have a piccy of all of us……“Allan” was the only one who presented me with a headache……I was sooo nervous hand drawing his mo and beard in because if I booged that up, I’d have booged the whole card up!! What a relief it worked! *phew*
I stamped the bodies onto different patterns on the DSP papers that came in the pack, “Pink Flamingo” and hand drew the arms and legs on. My Stamp-a-ma-jig came in ultra handy for lining up the letters for the “thanks” as well as lining up the heads to make sure that everyone fitted into the frame and that it looked fairly balanced at the end. I was also very thankful for ye ol’ Stamp-a-ma-jig for putting a cute little flower in each of the girlies hands. This flower is from the accessories stamp set, “Family Favourites”
Not sure how to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig? Check out my photo by photo tutorial HERE.
On the inside I didn’t need to do much as everyone was going to write in it. However there is a cute little stamp in the “Family Phrases” stamp set that compliments the “All in the Family” stamp set I used……
It was a rather fun card to make!
A few of the colours I’ve used will be leaving us after August 31st
Have you checked the Retiring Colours List? A few of the colours have already SOLD OUT and will NOT be restocked! Click on THIS LINK to make sure you know which of your favourite colours are being retired on August 31st. Now is the time to stock up on papers, cardstock, inks and their refills and accessories to avoid missing out of those colours that you hold dear!

TWO-Step Stampin?! What th’ hey?!
Last Updated on Thursday, 8 July 2010 05:31 Written by Ju Thursday, 8 July 2010 05:31
As you may or may not be aware, I’ve recently posted about Stampin’ Up!’s Promotion for July - gorrrrgeous select TWO-Step Stamp Sets available for purchase at 20% off! You can check out which sets are available by clicking HERE
TWO-Step Stamping is such a fun way to build onto a stamped image as well as giving you the opportunity to choose ONE Stamp Set knowing that it is versatile, useful for multiple occasions with the added confidence of accuracy in your stamping using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. One of the sets available during this promotion is Loads Of Love. I was having a think about this Stamping Technique and thought with this stamp set, it might be fun to provide you with a ~
“Pictorial Tutorial”
For the perfect Two Step Stamping, I never leave home without my Stamp-a-ma-jig! This tool is simply fabulous for getting that exact image, whether it be layering a Two Step Stamp Set, lining up your sentiment supremely or even correcting a fluffed stamped image! By using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, imperfectly stamped images can be made perfect and I just looooove a tool that covers up my mistakes. Concealer for the crafter
To begin, I stamp my base image that I am then going to “layer” using other stamps (in this case from the same set)
To now TWO STEP STAMP……… Take the square clear plastic image sheet from your Stamp-a-ma-jig and place it right up against and in the corner of the hand tool (sorry a bit hard to see the image sheet but I promise it’s there!):
With your stamp of choice ~ I’m using the bunch of flowers from the same set (Loads of Love) ~ ink it up, place it in the corner of the hand tool and slide it down onto the image sheet:
You can see the bunch of flower’s image on the image sheet. Take this stamped image sheet and place it directly over your base image (the ute) on exactly the place you want the flower image stamped:
With your image lined up exactly where you want it to be stamped, hold your image sheet so it doesn’t move and place your hand tool back up against the image sheet – make sure it’s right in the corner of the hand tool:
Holding your hand tool still, remove your image sheet, ink the stamp you wish to layer, place it in the corner of the hand tool then slide it down onto your cardstock…..
….et voila!
Such an easy and helpful tool to take the fuss out of Two Step Stampin! Then when finished, so easy to clean! That’s the clincher isn’t it?!
I use my Stampin’ Mist™ and Stampin’ Scrub™ to get my image sheet clean and dry and ready to use for another session (you can see them on page 155 of Stampin’ Up!’s IB&C which you can download here)
I hope this has been helpful for you! To purchase any of these products or to take advantage of the 20% off promotion for July, you can place your order HERE and have it delivered to your door Australia wide.
Kind wishes,
Ju *hugs*
